Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be technically unassailable.

What we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider. We never see or store your password. If you use Apple's private relay address, that is what we store — we do not attempt to resolve it.

Content you create

We store the prompts you write, any images or videos you upload as references, and the videos generated from them, so that your library works and you can return to your videos later.

Usage data

Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. These are used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not use your generated videos or prompts to train models.
• We do not publish your creations or use them in our marketing without asking you first.

Who we share data with

Only the processors needed to run the service:

• BytePlus ModelArk — receives your prompt and any reference assets in order to generate the video.
• Google and Apple — handle authentication when you choose to sign in with them.
• Our hosting and database providers — store the application and your account data.

We may also disclose data where required by law.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is open. Generated videos and prompts are kept until you delete them or close your account. Server logs are rotated within 90 days. When you close an account, associated personal data is deleted within 30 days except where we are legally required to keep it.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It is essential to the service and cannot be disabled while you are logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email hello@cartoonvideocreator.com and we will action a verified request within 30 days.

Children

The service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Adults are welcome to make cartoons for children.

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, notify account holders by email.
